Support Worker

PCB Care are currently recruiting for support workers to work in a day centre in Barnet on an ongoing Temporary basis.

Your day to day duties will include:

– Supporting service users with Profound and Complex Learning Disabilities, Physical Disabilities and Visual Impairment.
– Providing person-centred care and support to male and female service users.
– Providing intensive support based on the needs of each individual service user.
– Writing reports and carrying out observations, whilst also supporting with personal care and other daily duties .
– Working 9.30-3.30 Monday- Friday on a weekly basis.

This services programmes are tailored to each individual and can include:

-hydrotherapy in our onsite spa pool
-speech and language therapy input if required
-individual physiotherapy programmes
-access to music therapy
-occupational therapy support and advice
-the use of objects of reference
-intensive interaction techniques in a Multi Sensory Room

If you answer yes to the following, then you could be the Support Worker we need! Do you have?

– A minimum of 6 months recent experience working as a Support Worker, Care Assistant or similar role
– 2 years worth of professional references
– An enhanced DBS or are able to pay for one at interview
– Have a clear understanding of providing person centred support and able to promote independent living.
