Well done text

PCB Barnet’s very own superstar Laura receives some incredible feedback.

I am the Assistant Manager across 4 supported living services. Myself & my Manager wanted to make PCB aware of Laura's amazing work.

We have used many agencies in the past with difficulties covering shifts. We met Laura who is very friendly and a pleasure to talk to. We are using PCB as our first contact and Laura has been a godsend. Every time on calling to cover or induct staff, Laura has worked hard to find staff at the skill level we require, she always goes out of her way to ensure we are covered.

Laura is the only agent I have ever looked forward to calling as she keeps us informed. She has very good communications skills, is reliable, honest, well liked in the team and very responsive. The best agency agent we have ever worked with.

Phillip with gold and bronze medals

Phillip’s amazing swimming achievement!

The InTouch Coventry branch celebrates the achievements of one of their service users, Phillip, in his recent swimming galas. Phillip is pictured here with his medals.

Phillip is one of our service users. He has been registered blind since birth and is partially deaf. For a year Phillip has been swimming once a week at a local Disabled Swimming Club. He has competed in several swimming galas. At the most recent gala he won 3 medals. 1x gold and 2x bronze. What an achievement, well done Phillip!

It’s Celebration of Life Day

Life should not only be lived, it should also be celebrated.

Take the time today to celebrate the life we lead and the blessings that come to us each day.

PCB Care embarks on growth strategy to increase UK market presence

PCB Care is unveiling expansion plans to grow is healthcare operations that will see it embark on an acquisition strategy and develop a commercial training service for the care industry.

The company, which was acquired by West Midlands-based N-Trust Care Services, a specialist care industry recruiter and training provider, in 2017 creating a business with a workforce of 40, aims to more than double its £6m turnover and increase its UK presence.

A major independent staffing provider for the specialist social care, child care, social work and home care sectors, PCB Care has been in operation for more than 30 years with offices in Birmingham, Coventry and London.

As a result, N-Trust, which operates out of Wolverhampton, Stoke and Birmingham, led by Managing Director John Coyne and majority shareholders Gary Dewhurst and Mark Roberts, has rebranded its operations under the PCB Care banner to further develop the reach of the established brand.

This strategy will be further bolstered by its acquisition programme, identifying complementary businesses in the UK care sector to further scale-up operations and market share.

Immediate growth at PCB Care has come through its InTouch home care operation, which has expanded into new offices in Coventry. Providing care in the home and specialising within the Live In and Condition-Led fields, InTouch has doubled the size of its previous offices in Coventry with a move two miles away to Sutherland House in Matlock Road.

The move has coincided with the service being named the Best Live-In Care Provider in the West Midlands in the GHP Social Care Awards 2018. The award was achieved based on testimonial submissions sourced be GHP.

In addition to providing large office space for its staff, the new building has enabled the creation of a dedicated training suite and enhanced visitor facilities including an on-site coffee shop where carers can bring service users together for social events.

Since its acquisition, PCB Care has also brought its training for its carers and support staff in-house and uses classroom-based learning delivered by professional, accredited trainers.   PCB Care is now targeting expanding the service by commercialising its training offering for other companies in the sector.

John Coyne, Managing Director of PCB Care said: “Last year’s acquisition has provided a real springboard for growth for the company. In addition to adopting N-Trust’s operations under the PCB Care name to immediately strengthen our offering, we are actively pursuing a strategy to increase the size of the business and market penetration.

Both PCB Care and the InTouch Home Care service present strong growth potential, which will be supported by our ambitions to commercialise our training operations that deliver high-quality, accredited expertise to care staff. This service will also benefit from the opening of our new larger offices in Coventry, with its dedicated training facility, which further demonstrates our ambitions to scale-up the business.”

John added: “We are also very proud that InTouch has been recognised in the social care awards, which is a testament to the dedicated and talented people that deliver the service and work closely with clients to provide the best possible levels of care.”
